Disney Takes Food Allergy Care to the Next Level

If you're reading this, you probably already know that Disney is the gold standard when it comes to accommodating food allergies. Well, things just got even better.

Disney has started adding dedicated "Allergy-Friendly Order" lines at several resort quick-service locations.

This exciting news was first shared by our friend @safedisneyfood on Instagram. If you don't already follow them, they're well worth adding to your feed.

In a world where people with food allergies are used to jumping through extra hoops, waiting longer for meals, and second-guessing every step of the ordering process, this is a huge win.

Not only do these dedicated lines act as our own little "FastPass" for ordering, but they also eliminate many of the unknowns that can make a family's first Disney trip feel overwhelming.

As you know, when it comes to food allergies, peace of mind is priceless. I can only imagine a family walking into a resort quick-service restaurant for the first time, understandably a little nervous, and then seeing a large sign that says, "Allergy Requests Order Here."

Families like ours don't just see a sign—we see a message that says, "Come over here. We've got you."

Before you even say a word, you know you'll be speaking with a specially trained Cast Member who understands food allergies and knows how to handle the situation from the start.

That said, it's important to repeat what we always say: the responsibility still falls on you to communicate your specific needs. Disney chefs and Cast Members are incredible, but no one knows your allergies better than you do. Always stay vigilant and don't slip into autopilot just because you're on Disney property.

So far, these dedicated ordering lines have been spotted at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and Disney's Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort. We hope to see them expand to even more locations in the near future.

One final note, especially for those planning their first Disney trip: if you walk into a quick-service location and don't see one of these signs, don't worry. You can absolutely wait in the regular queue and ask to speak with a chef or allergy-trained Cast Member when you reach the register. These dedicated allergy-friendly lines are simply another layer of safety, convenience, and reassurance for our community.

With Halloween season just around the corner, Disney has released its official Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Foodie Guide for 2026.

I'll include a link to the full Foodie Guide below so you can browse this year's specialty offerings, but there's one detail that caught my attention because it could make this event much more food allergy-friendly than many of Disney's other seasonal celebrations.

At many of Disney's seasonal events, such as the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, the specialty menu items are served from temporary food booths set up throughout the park. Because these locations typically have limited kitchen space and a higher risk of cross-contamination, we usually recommend that guests with food allergies avoid them.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party appears to be different.

If you look through the Foodie Guide, you'll notice that many of the specialty menu items are being offered at permanent quick-service and table-service locations like Casey's Corner, The Plaza Restaurant, and many others.

That could be great news for those of us with food allergies. Since these items are likely being prepared in the restaurants' regular kitchens rather than temporary booths, there may be more opportunities for allergy-friendly modifications and a lower risk of cross-contamination.

As always, the responsibility is still on you to make the decision that's best for your allergies. While many of these offerings appear to be coming from permanent restaurant locations, some may still be prepared or served from temporary setups. Take a look for yourself when you arrive, ask questions, speak with a chef or allergy-trained Cast Member, and decide what you're comfortable with.
