Good morning everyone — I hope you're having a great week! 💙
Disney has released the 2026 foodie guides for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights, and both events are starting very soon. Today, we're taking a closer look at the new menus from a food allergy perspective.
We'll go through a few of the items that caught our attention, what these early menu descriptions actually tell us, and what guests should know before ordering. We'll also cover a quick reminder about Disney's allergy-friendly menu listings.
Let's get into it. 👇

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: The New Foodie Guide Is Here

📸 Disney
Disney released its official 2026 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party foodie guide on October 29. The separately ticketed Magic Kingdom event takes place on select nights from November 8 through December 22, and the guide includes both new menu items and returning favorites.
One new item that stood out to us was the Tostada de Nochebuena (pictured below) at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café. Disney describes it as smoked pork, salsa verde, smoked tomato salsa, queso fresco, and cilantro. Queso fresco is a cheese, so the listed preparation includes dairy. Whether any substitutions are possible would need to be discussed directly with the culinary team.

At Golden Oak Outpost, there's another new item: Gingerbread Cheesecake Beignets (below left) served over gingerbread cheesecake icing. Disney is also bringing back its Yuletide Chicken Strips (below right) described with sage butter and cranberry barbecue glaze, plus sweet potato waffle fries. Butter is included in the published description.

Always remember, even if a dish doesn't mention one of your allergens, that doesn't mean the dish is safe for you. Recipes, toppings, sauces, substitutions, and preparation methods should all be discussed on site.
What about the allergy-friendly options?
The foodie guide is a preview of seasonal food, not a complete allergy menu. It doesn't tell us which party-exclusive offerings can be accommodated for each allergy or how each item is prepared. We wouldn't make any decisions based on this guide alone.
When you're ordering, let the Cast Member know about all of your allergies and ask to speak with a Chef or a Special Diets-Trained Cast Member about ingredients, preparation, possible substitutions, and cross-contact. If a party location can't answer your questions to a point where you feel comfortable, it's always better to choose another option.
Also pay attention to the availability notes. Some offerings are party-exclusive, while others are available during regular park hours too. That can make a difference if you're planning meals around a limited-time event.
One more important reminder
Since October 6, Disney-owned and -operated restaurants may include ingredients such as coconut and chestnut in items labeled tree-nut allergy-friendly, following updated FDA guidance. If you avoid one of those specific ingredients, tell the culinary team explicitly rather than relying only on the tree-nut category. Disney also says its kitchens cannot guarantee an item is completely free of allergens.

Jollywood Nights Menus Are Out, Too!

📸 Disney
Disney also released the official 2026 Jollywood Nights foodie guide on October 28. The separately ticketed Hollywood Studios event runs on select nights from November 7, 2026, through January 5, 2027.
There are plenty of new foods this year, including the Yuletide Ham Popover and the Partysaurus Rex Brookie. A couple of the plant-based offerings also caught our attention.
Plant-based doesn't automatically mean allergy-friendly
Disney lists Gingerbread Bites (below, left) at The Trolley Car Café and Tofu Bao (below, right) at The Hollywood Brown Derby as plant-based. The Tofu Bao is described as seared tofu, cucumber slaw, and soy vinaigrette. Backlot Express also lists plant-based Sleigh Bell Brussels Sprouts with bourbon-onion jam and crispy onions.

We always like seeing plant-based options added to the menus, especially for guests avoiding dairy. But plant-based is not a guarantee that an item is safe for any allergy.
If any of these items interest you, they are good starting points for a conversation with a Disney Chef, but you should always as about the current ingredients and cross contamination risks. Disney's special dietary requests guidance reminds guests to disclose their allergies and speak to a Cast Member.
We'll keep an eye on these holiday menus as the events begin and share any significant allergy dining updates we can verify.

Coconut allergy still listed at TN on menus?
A Disney cook reported in our group that most of the menus at Disney do not consider coconut as a tree nut anymore due to the recent FDA updated guidance. It is extremely important to speak with a Chef and inform them directly if you have a coconut allergy.
